The Eighth Edition of the Mexico Metal Fest in Monterrey is Postponed Until Further Notice

Bad news for metal fans: The Mexico Metal Fest 2024, which was to be held on October 12 at Expo Guadalupe in Monterrey, has been postponed until further notice due to “unfavorable circumstances,” according to the festival’s official social media.

This decision was announced on Tuesday, after approximately three days of silence from the organizers, who mentioned that the reasons for the postponement are unrelated to the invited artists and the event organization.

“We regret to inform you that due to unfavorable circumstances, the Mexico Metal Fest VIII, which was to be held on October 12, 2024, at Expo Guadalupe, Monterrey, Nuevo León, is postponed until further notice, highlighting that these causes are unrelated to the invited artists as well as the organization responsible for the festival,” reads the festival’s Instagram post.

“Reinforcing our commitment to our audience, we want to offer the best entertainment experience, which has characterized us throughout the previous 7 editions; for this reason, we had to make the difficult decision to postpone it, as the conditions are not currently favorable for an excellent execution of the festival,” they added.

For those who had already purchased their tickets, the festival has communicated the process for requesting a refund, while announcing a surprise event for all those who had planned their visit to Monterrey.

Bands such as Napalm Death, Kataklysm, Lucifer, Krisiun, Blood Red Throne, Strike Master, and Phantom will perform at the event, and entry will be free for those who have tickets to the Mexico Metal Fest, even for those who have requested a refund.

“We appreciate your understanding and recognize that this news may be a great disappointment for fans who were eagerly looking forward to celebrating this edition with us,” the statement concludes.
