Young man reported missing in Los Cabos; family urges authorities to locate him

Family and friends reported the disappearance of the young Yeimi Alondra Aguirre in Los Cabos and demanded that the authorities speed up the search and location, since it has been almost two weeks without any news of her.

Activists and groups of missing persons reported that since September 27, the whereabouts of the 21-year-old girl have been unknown. She was last seen in the port of Cabo San Lucas wearing a black sweater and black jeans.

The state Attorney General’s Office (PGJE) activated the alert under the Alba protocol on September 29, and refers to the young woman’s data: thin, 1.65 meters tall, dark complexion and brown hair, thick lips; however, to date no clues have been obtained as to her whereabouts.

Her friends have intensified their search, placing photographs of the young woman on light poles, street furniture and in various places in the municipality of Los Cabos; In addition, they have already taken to the streets with banners to demand that the authorities immediately locate her.

Yesterday, demonstrations began in the streets of the port. A first contingent of about 40 people walked through the streets of Cabo San Lucas to demand effective action to find the young woman, and announced that the demonstrations will continue. Another rally is scheduled for tomorrow at the “Cerrito del Timbre” Cultural Center.

Groups searching for people have urged local authorities to streamline the tasks of locating them, in all cases of missing persons.

And after the disappearance of two State Police agents in the municipality of Comondú, on September 21, a strong operation was deployed in the area, with dozens of military personnel and searches. After eleven days of actions, their bodies were located. Authorities indicated that investigations continue to clarify the events.
