ALLEGED VICTIMS OF FRAUD: More than 50 families evicted from state land in Playa del Carmen

More than 50 families, allegedly victims of fraud, were evicted this afternoon from land located in the Nicte-Ha neighborhood, which is owned by the state.
This operation was carried out around noon, which generated a strong mobilization at the end of 20 de Noviembre Avenue, in the so-called industrial zone of this city.
The evicted stated that many of those affected by this operation were beginning to pay for the land they occupied, without knowing that it was state property.
They indicated that some of them had already paid up to 20 thousand pesos to a person who claimed to be the owner.

The occupied lands, according to neighbors in the area, were intended for the industrial sector, but over time they were occupied by some people.
Just over 50 families were evicted during this operation that was led by elements of the State Attorney General’s Office and the Municipal Police.
No confrontations were reported during these actions.
