Jan Philipp Krull will race in Nascar Trucks in Puebla

The young man, just 14 years old, Jan Philipp Krull, demonstrates his skill and concentration behind the wheel. He recently qualified for the playoffs and this achievement has made him a leader within the rookie championship.

Jan Philipp Krull, driver of the #99 truck, is a passionate, cheerful young man who is proud to belong to the Trucks Mexico Series 2024. After having secured his qualification for the playoffs, he is about to compete in Puebla the following weekend.

He started at the age of 5 in Go-Karts, then continued in the championship in the Cuerna Super Karts in the children’s B category. In 2017 and 2018 he competed in the Rok Cup championship in the Baby category, being champion the first year. In 2019 he received the “Unpublished Talent” recognition in the Reto Telmex championship in the RT Mini 60 category and in 2019 he participated in “Florida Wintertour 2019” finishing fifth at the international level.

He was later selected as a Grid Kid in the Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix and two years later he was runner-up in the Reto Telmex championship in the RT X30 Junior category. That same year he participated in the first Pan-American Karting Slalom.

In 2022 he was champion of the RT X30 Junior category in the FIA Mexico National Karting Championship “Reto Telmex” and in 2023 he became champion of the Formula Karts LFK in the X30 Junior category, and he was also awarded a ticket to race in the FIA KARTING ACADEMY TROPHY where he participated in the Czech Republic, Denmark and Italy.

This 2024 will be his first year in the Nascar Trucks category, this achievement is a sign of his effort and the good teamwork he has done with all the people who have always supported him such as his family, friends and, of course, his sponsors Prime Sports and Marketing Advertising:

“You have to try to do your best, not stay on one podium to be able to move on to the top four. Currently, on the date from Puebla to Mexico City, only four drivers pass, so we have to give it our all so that at the end of the year we can take home the championship,” he said.
His love, concentration and commitment to the carts have made him feel proud to be a participant in such big events as the one he is about to experience in our city. However, getting here has not been easy because he has had to adapt his life to studying at home.

One of the aspects he highlighted is that the preparation that a runner must have requires both physical and mental effort, since in addition to physical exercises there must be a highly developed mental preparation and agility: “Many people believe that you just get in the car, turn left, accelerate and that’s it, but it’s not like that, there’s a world behind, you have to go to the gym. I have a physical and mental trainer who helps me with food, nutrition and school,” he added.

As this is his first year in a professional race, Jan wants to reach the championship with the goal of being a professional and outstanding driver in Formula 1 or Nascar Cup.

At the end, he commented that he invites everyone to support him in his participation this weekend at the Miguel E. Ebed racetrack and thanked all those who have always accompanied him and offered their support.
