Eleven young people from Aguascalientes will represent Mexico in Türkiye

Eleven students from Aguascalientes, ten of them in high school and one a graduate, will represent Mexico in an international science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) competition that will take place in Istanbul, Turkey, in December of this year. They all belong to Cedros High School, an educational institution that has achieved several recognitions in recent academic competitions.

Abril Danae Ordaz Ramírez, Juan Patricio Pizaña Muñoz, Jorge Eduardo Reynoso Gutiérrez, Eduardo Suárez del Real Salazar, Natalia Castrejón Sánchez, Ninna Simone Castruita Díaz, Regina Esparza Barranco, Ana Camila Bolaños Vega, José Luis Charcas Rivera and Hideki Tsuchiya Martínez are the students who will participate in this event, along with Erik Osvaldo Gómez Ponce, a former student of this high school who is currently studying high school at Cuauhtémoc High School.

Cedros High School has stood out in the international academic arena, with a group of seven students who recently won three bronze medals and one silver medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad in Singapore. This competition was held in June and included the participation of students from various countries, including Canada, the United States and China.

According to the authorities of the institution, the students selected for the competition in Turkey overcame a national selection process, where they obtained some of the best scores in the country. The December competition will test their knowledge in key areas such as science, technology and engineering, giving them the opportunity to show their skills in front of young people from around the world.

The STEAM educational model, which combines various academic disciplines with a focus on problem solving, has been highlighted by Cedros High School as one of the key factors for the achievements of its students. The institution hopes that its participation in Turkey will continue to strengthen Mexico’s educational presence in international competitions.
