PRI Deputies Demand Resignation of Secretary of Security in Tabasco

The PRI’s coordinator, Rubén Moreira Valdez, stated that the country is experiencing a terrible crisis in terms of security.

Following the acts of violence registered on Wednesday in Tabasco, the legislators from the PRI’s parliamentary group, led by coordinator Rubén Moreira Valdez, assert that these events create an atmosphere of uncertainty and fear among the population, and therefore urgently request the resignation of the Secretary of Security in this entity.

Moreira Valdez stated that the country is experiencing a terrible crisis in terms of security, which has left Sinaloa in a state of turmoil, but noted that the same thing is happening in Michoacán, Jalisco, and now in Tabasco, a state that he mentions “does not receive the attention it deserves due to the complexity of the situation, but the wave of violence caused by organized crime requires immediate attention to the insecurity lived by the people of Tabasco”.

Deputy Erubiel Alonso detailed that on Tuesday evening, after 9 pm, there was an intense day of incidents in the entity, with car burnings in Chontalpa, as well as homicides and kidnappings in the municipalities of Paraíso, Comalcalco, and Cunduacán.

He also stated that the chaos that began last week is generating an economic recession with massive layoffs and business closures, “because investment has stopped coming due to the fear of entrepreneurs”.

For these reasons, the PRI legislators demand the prompt resignation of the Secretary of Security in Tabasco, as well as a government that guides and protects the entity in a timely manner.
