14 Women Victims of Trafficking Rescued in Cancun; Adrián ‘N’ Arrested

Among the victims, four are foreigners from Peru, Colombia, Argentina, and Venezuela.

The State Attorney General’s Office, in collaboration with the National Guard, managed to rescue 14 women who were alleged victims of sexual exploitation in an establishment located on the Cancun-Tulum federal highway.

Among the victims, four are foreigners from Peru, Colombia, Argentina, and Venezuela. Additionally, Adrián ‘N’, the alleged manager of the establishment, was arrested for his possible involvement in the crime of human trafficking in the form of forced prostitution.

The rescue was carried out following the execution of a search warrant at the establishment, located between Juárez Avenue and 1st South Street in Cancun. Investigations reveal that Adrián ‘N’ recruited the women by taking advantage of their economic vulnerability and, in the case of the foreigners, their immigration status, under the promise of large earnings. Once at the establishment, the women were forced to offer sexual services and subjected to fines for not complying with orders.

The women were taken to the State Attorney General’s Office to give their statements.

As for Adrián ‘N’, he was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, which will determine his legal situation within the constitutional timeframe.

This operation highlights the importance of combating human trafficking and protecting victims of sexual exploitation in the region.
