Hidalgo: A Treasure to Discover

Hidalgo is a place that combines tradition, modernity, nature, and adventure all in one location. Throughout the state, visitors have the opportunity to explore its Magical Towns, where time seems to stand still, and history comes to life. For those who love new adventures, the natural landscapes, archaeological sites, and secluded corners away from the hustle and bustle of the city will be incredibly attractive places to explore.

Hidalgo is not only a tourist destination but also a hub of economic development. Its agribusinesses are recognized nationally and internationally for the quality of their products, ranging from fruits and vegetables to meats and dairy. Additionally, the state has a strategic location, just an hour from Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) and with federal highways that make it an ideal logistical point for tourism and goods distribution.

In agricultural production, the state stands out for its maize, tomatoes, alfalfa, oranges, sugar cane, agave, and bananas, competing nationally in the production of spirits, liqueurs, and wines, as well as high-quality honey and coffee beans, each framed by its artisanal richness.

In the livestock sector, the state annually markets more than 300,000 head of cattle, 249,000 pigs, over 10 tons of chicken, and more than 650,000 tons of sheep. This last segment is one of the state’s leaders, which is also globally recognized for its lamb barbecue, a dish that has become a small sample of the state’s gastronomic and cultural wealth.
