11 members of a criminal organization from Chiapas linked to the murder of an FGR agent are brought to trial

A federal judge has charged 11 people, nine of whom are foreigners, allegedly because they are part of a criminal organization that operates in Chiapas and is involved in the death of a Federal Ministerial Police agent of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).

According to the investigation file, a few days ago, elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) carried out searches in two homes located near Tapachula, where two Mexicans, two Salvadorans and seven Guatemalans were arrested, from whom they seized firearms, marijuana and cocaine hydrochloride.

Who are the detainees?

Before the arrest, there was a confrontation with the Federal Ministerial Police, which resulted in the death of one of the federal elements and three other people.

Subsequently, a Federal Public Prosecutor presented the evidence and a federal judge brought charges against Néstor “N”, Axel “N”, Manuel “N”, Juan “N”, Mateo “N”, José “N”, Ángel “N” and Manuel “N” for the probable crimes of carrying and possessing a firearm.

In addition to possession of cartridges and magazines, all for exclusive use; criminal association, attempted qualified homicide and qualified homicide.

For Alfredo “N”, José “N” and Cristian “N”, for carrying a firearm, possession of cartridges and magazines, all for exclusive use, stockpiling firearms, against health in its form of drug dealing in its variant of possession of marijuana and cocaine hydrochloride for commercial purposes, criminal association and attempted qualified homicide.

They were all placed in preventive detention at the Social Rehabilitation Center 3, in Tapachula, Chiapas, and a six-month period of additional investigation was set.

Other cases of violence in Chiapas

A man was found dead on the afternoon of Monday, October 14, on the stretch of highway from Revolución Mexicana to El Parral near the San Julián ranch in the municipality of Villacorzo, Chiapas.

It was around 2:00 p.m. that residents of the area noticed a black bag containing human remains, so they notified the authorities.

Members of the Mexican Army, State and Municipal Police, as well as Personnel from Forensic Services arrived at the scene to remove the body and transfer it to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) in order to perform the legal autopsy.

Meanwhile, elements of the Investigative Police carried out, in accordance with the protocols on the matter and in force in the state, the first corresponding proceedings in the field criminalistics to clarify the facts and establish responsibilities.

The Fraylesca District Attorney’s Office reported that it has already opened an investigation file against whoever is responsible for the crime of homicide.
