
Investments are increasing due to the climate of tranquility and the decrease in crime, as a result of the actions that are being carried out against crime, said Governor Esteban Villegas Villarreal.
During the meeting with the General of the Staff, Guillermo Briseño Lobera, Commander of the III Military Region, the governor of Durango gave him a report on the actions to preserve the peace and tranquility of the citizens.
In addition, during this meeting it was agreed to strengthen security strategies between Durango and Sinaloa; the report also states that Durango is on its way to becoming one of the safest states in the country.
This is because it maintains zero kidnappings and crimes are on the decline, due to the joint effort with the Mexican Army, the National Guard and the security corporations of the entity, and it has been possible to maintain stability in the state, which contributes to the economic prosperity that is reflected in the arrival of more and more investments to Durango.
Governor Villegas Villarreal was accompanied by members of the Security and Peacebuilding Roundtable of the state of Durango at the meeting; he reaffirmed his commitment to continue with the strategies and establish lines of action, coordination and collaboration, both in the border area and in the interior of Durango and Sinaloa, states that make up this military region.
Villegas Villarreal stressed that, a few days after the assignment of General Briseño Lobera to this area, he was confident that, thanks to his extensive experience, the good work of maintaining the security of families will continue.
Among the members of the roundtable were the Prosecutor of Durango, Sonia Yadira de la Garza; the Brigadier General with a Diploma from the General Staff, Isaac Bravo López, Commander of the 10th Military Zone of Durango; the State Coordinator of the National Guard in Durango, Commissioner Manuel Bravo Alonso.
As well as the Secretary General of Government, Héctor Eduardo Vela Valenzuela; the Secretary of Public Security of the State, Oscar Galvan Villarreal; and the State Coordinator of Civil Protection, Arturo Galindo Cabada.
