The National Urban Public Security Survey (ENSU) of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) indicates how insecurity is perceived in the cities of the Monterrey Metropolitan Area by the inhabitants.
The recently published survey corresponds to the third quarter of 2024 and revealed what the perception of insecurity is in the main cities of Nuevo León and the other entities of Mexico.
Monterrey is perceived as the most unsafe city in NL
The most recent month reported by INEGI, which corresponds to September, indicated that the city of Monterrey leads the category of perception of insecurity in the inhabitants with 59.7 percent.
Next is General Escobedo with 28.4 percent and in third place is Santa Catarina with 47.4 percent. Apodaca also appears with 42.4 percent.
San Nicolás de los Garza represents 28.6 percent, while San Pedro Garza García is the city with the lowest perception of insecurity with 13.7 percent.
