Piedras Negras seeks to regain second place as the safest city in Mexico

The issue is quite competitive, we are working against other municipalities that also seek to have the best security, we have gone back a few decimal points, but we continue committed to the tasks that we have to do to position ourselves in the places that we have had lately, declared the secretary of the City Council of Piedras Negras, Hermelo Castillón Martínez.

The above with respect to the results of the National Survey of Urban Public Security (ENSU), carried out by the INEGI, which, from second place, now placed Piedras Negras as the fourth safest city in the country.

However, Castillón Martínez highlighted that it remains in the top 5 as one of the safest cities in the Mexican Republic, it remains the safest border in Mexico and it is the safest city in Coahuila.

He highlighted the progress of the Municipal Police, which was well evaluated in its performance and reliability, in the ranking of the 10 best in the country, which had never been seen before in previous administrations.
