Without a doubt, the Day of the Dead is one of the most emotional traditions of our port, which the government of Luis Munguía joins to celebrate life through death with the first edition of the festival ‘Remember Me’, to be held from October 31 to November 3 in the city center, districts, cemeteries, and colonies, with an attractive cultural and artistic program that will be a great attraction for Vallarta residents and visitors.
It is a one hundred percent collaborative project in which the different departments of the city council participate to offer tourists and Vallarta families a different and unforgettable party that will reach the different corners of the municipality and can be enjoyed for free.
The program of activities includes the installation of an offering in honor of Don Guadalupe Sánchez in the city’s main square, as well as the placement of altars and the traditional 28-meter-high Catrina, which on this occasion will be accompanied by its mascot and which will be installed thanks to the contribution of the Tourism Trust, all this in the heart of our port, while there will be artistic and cultural events on the boardwalk, the Lázaro Cárdenas plaza, the Los Muertos pier and the Cuale River Island; in addition to the Mega Day of the Dead Parade on November 2.
Likewise, there will be artistic presentations and a contest of altars, tombs and catrinas in the four municipal delegations, as well as film screenings.
