90% of dengue cases in Tabasco are of the DENV-3 serotype
Last Wednesday, the Secretary of Health in Tabasco, Alejandro Calderón Alipi, highlighted that Tabasco has been moving away from the top spots in terms of dengue at the national level. “We are doing well, we are moving forward, we have already implemented the policies since the first day of October and we continue with the campaigns, the truth is that we are losing the top spots nationally,” he said.
He said that the fumigation brigades are redoubling their tours of the colonies and ranches, which will allow the decrease of infections in the coming weeks: “We are working with all the municipalities, not only in Centro, but in others such as Cárdenas, Comalcalco and Nacajuca, where there is more incidence.” And he added: “We are taking measures and having talks with the population on the subject of sanitation, it is necessary to remove all the stagnant water, we have to clean and we are fumigating as well,” he pointed out.
