Tamaulipas’ energy sector and its development possibilities through international private investment will be on display in China in November, through a tour of four strategic cities in the Asian country where companies and chambers focused on technology as an innovation in the industry are located.
In collaboration with Oil and Gas Alliance, the Secretariat of Energy Development is preparing the delegation for a Road Show, which will begin on the 4th of next month and end on the 15th, including the cities of Beijing, Xi’an, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, positioned as a business opportunity for both nations and their regions.
The head of the agency, José Ramón Silva Arizabalo, announced the visit together with Ricardo Ortega, CEO of Oil and Gas Alliance and Janeth Olivares, director of Operators and States of this private organization, within the framework of the presentation of the International Congress scheduled for March 2025 at Expo Tampico.
“Alliance will organize a road show in conjunction with the state government and the Ministry of Energy Development. This event will tour various regions to present business opportunities and attract new investments, highlighting the role of Tamaulipas as the energy epicenter in Mexico,” said Ricardo Ortega at a press conference this Thursday in Mexico City.
The tour will begin in Beijing, with a stay on the 4th and 5th, where key meetings will be held with economic actors to explore collaborations in energy technology and investments. Xi’an will be the next destination, from the 6th to the 10th, where ties with Chinese companies and institutions specialized in innovation will be strengthened.
The next stop on the agenda is Guangzhou, scheduled for November 11th to the 13th. The aforementioned city is key for international trade, strategic projects from Tamaulipas will be presented. The tour will end between the 14th and 15th in Shenzhen, exploring new technological opportunities, always aligned with the objectives of sustainable development.
“This road show is not only an effort to attract foreign capital, but also to generate alliances that have a positive impact on the regional and national economy. Our commitment is clear: to position Tamaulipas as a benchmark in the global energy industry and promote the integration of companies for the benefit of sustainable development in the region,” said Silva Arizabalo.
