Marko Cortés denounces narco-terrorism and the destruction of democracy in Mexico; PAN will take the case to US organizations

“They took away people’s ability to defend themselves against an act of authority through amparo, the election of Ministers and Judges will cost 46% more than in 2024,” said the president of PAN.

The national president of PAN, Marko Cortés Mendoza, called on the international community to look at all the abuses of the law carried out by the Morena government, the way it obstructs the opposition, and the dictatorial government promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum.

In a statement, he announced that Acción Nacional and its legislators will file various complaints with international organizations in the United States and the European Parliament to make the world aware of the subjugation of the Union’s powers and the imposition of laws through an artificial, co-opted majority that Morena did not win at the polls.

“Mexico is in a state of alert, with violence out of control, with incidents of narco-terrorism in much of the country, but they dare to deny it, a president who continues the wrongdoings of López Obrador’s government and with authoritarian impositions through the Congress of the Union, where they are curtailing human rights,” he denounced.

Marko Cortés stated that the international community must be informed of this so that Mexico does not become another Cuba or Venezuela, where citizens have no escape from a regime that does not win at the polls but imposes itself in power, buys and threatens legislators, and represses those who think differently from the regime.

“We cannot allow the brazenness of some Morena members who dare to say they came to stay for more than 50 years, because we already know well that if there is no alternation in power, the democratic system becomes flawed and corrupt, which is very evident during the current Morena regime. The world must know this,” he emphasized.

Marko Cortés claims that what happened in the Senate is an example of “authoritarianism”

He said that what happened last Thursday in the Senate of the Republic is the greatest example of authoritarianism, once again applying the irrational steamroller to the opposition, not building agreements or dialogues, without giving a substantive debate and not listening to those who think differently from them.

“They took away people’s ability to defend themselves against an act of authority through amparo, the election of Ministers and Judges will cost 46% more than in 2024, and they threaten Judicial Power workers to return to their jobs,” he pointed out.

“Completely contradictorily, those who fought for democracy in Mexico from the opposition are now the same ones who want to impose a dictatorship from Morena,” he argued.

Therefore, the PAN leader stressed the importance of the international community and international organizations turning their attention to Mexico before it is too late, “because they are trying to establish a dictatorship with the damage that these types of regimes cause to nations.”
