Products with the image of Saint Jude Thaddeus are sold outside the temple for up to a thousand pesos

As part of the celebration of Saint Jude Thaddeus in the city of Chihuahua, where hundreds of people come to the chapel of the patron saint of the impossible, street vendors do not wait and from early in the morning until the sun sets they set up near the temple located on the Delicias highway, selling jewelry and figures of the saints at prices ranging from 50 to a thousand pesos.

Among the products that can be found during this season in the chapel of Saint Jude Thaddeus are lace ties, rosaries, dream catchers, amulets, stones, bracelets, necklaces and figures of the saints, especially of the martyr of despair, products that can be found at all prices depending on the size, given that the largest figures can even exceed a thousand pesos.

In addition to these products, among the harvest there is also a great variety of food for the walkers who arrive from their long pilgrimage, where after leaving the chapel and presenting their devotion, they go out to rest and eat at one of the stands.

Among the food that can be found are tacos, quesadillas, chilaquiles, corn on the cob, potatoes, pork rinds, bolis, corn on the cob grilled on the cob, among another selection of quickly prepared foods, so that once they have eaten they can return home with a lighter heart and a full stomach.

It should be noted that, although bottles of water and soft drinks are sold a lot at these stands, it is common for the faithful pilgrims to already bring with them the bottles that were provided to them at the hydration points that the State government installed along the Delicias highway.

Likewise, some groups of young people and communities from certain churches gathered to stand along the pilgrimage route and offer everything from the vital liquid to food that could be eaten during the walk by the Catholic devotees.

This harvest is of great importance for the small businesses and entrepreneurs who own these stalls, due to the large influx of people who come to the chapel throughout the weekend.

According to the Civil Protection Coordination, it is expected that over these three days a little more than 35 thousand parishioners will arrive, given that this was the approximate number they had in the chapel last year.
