Costco, the popular international wholesale chain, announced the opening of its largest branch in Mexico, which will be located in General Escobedo, Nuevo León.
The new Costco branch in Escobedo will have a surface area of more than 120 thousand square meters, surpassing the one in Santa Fe, and will offer everything from food to electronics and furniture, becoming a commercial reference in the north of the country.
Costco has grown significantly in Mexico, consolidating itself as one of the preferred stores for wholesale purchases. Currently, it has more than 40 branches in the country, but this new store in Escobedo promises to be the largest, competing directly with other large stores, such as Sam’s Club. The strategic location on Avenida Sendero will not only be a commercial reference point, but will also contribute to the local economy by generating jobs and attracting new businesses in the area.
Opening date
Although there is still no exact date confirmed, the store is expected to open in the coming months. However, in Torreón, Coahuila, another new Costco branch is scheduled to open at the end of 2024.
Variety of products and services
Like other Costco stores, the new branch will offer a wide range of products including food, electronics, furniture, household products, clothing, jewelry and more. In addition, it will have a car service center and a gas station, reaffirming its comprehensive concept for its partners. It is also expected to include a section specialized in imported products and premium brands, as well as exclusive offers for its partners.
Costco expands its presence in Mexico with its largest branch
The opening of this new store reinforces Costco’s expansion in Mexico and its commitment to offering its customers a unique shopping experience. With a greater offering of products and services, and a strategic location in the north of the country, this new Costco is ready to become a key commercial destination in Nuevo León and its surroundings.
