Nearly 7,000 visitors arrive in Mazatlán on 2 tourist cruises

Mazatlán is expecting a large number of international visitors as four tourist cruises are scheduled to arrive in the city during the last week of October. On Tuesday, two cruise ships, the “Majestic Princess” and the “Discovery Princess,” arrived at the port with a combined total of 6,859 passengers and 2,702 crew members on board. This influx of visitors is expected to have a positive economic impact on the sector.

The first ship to arrive was the “Majestic Princess” from Puerto Vallarta, carrying 3,335 passengers and 1,325 crew members. It docked at 7:45 am and departed at 5 pm to continue its journey to Los Angeles, California. An hour later, the “Discovery Princess,” which had come from Los Cabos, arrived with 3,524 passengers and 1,377 crew members. The ship continued on to Puerto Vallarta after a few hours in Mazatlán.

Tourists took advantage of their stay to explore the city’s attractions, including the Historic Center, the boardwalk, the Golden Zone, the Lighthouse, the Cathedral, and various beaches. According to the schedule set by the Administration of the National Port System in Mazatlán, two more ships, the “Carnival Firenze” and the “Koningsdam,” are expected to arrive on Wednesday, marking a double arrival of vessels and bringing the month’s total to 12 ships.
