Business Factory positions Oaxaca as a trigger for the regional economy

With the participation of more than 800 MSMEs, Fábrica de Negocio, más cerca de Ti, began. Sur-Sureste 2024, a meeting in which business people and entrepreneurs from nine states in this region of the country will present their products to large local and national commercial chains, so that they reach sales floors and digital shelves.

When opening the event, the head of the Secretariat of Economic Development (Sedeco) Raúl Ruiz Robles highlighted that this activity is of national stature and places Oaxaca at the center of the economic scene, in addition to positioning it as a leading state in the transformation of MSMEs throughout the region, which includes Campeche, Chiapas, Guerrero, Puebla, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Veracruz and Yucatán.

After acknowledging the coordination and support of GS1 Mexico, a business organization that facilitates the digital transformation of companies, to hold this free meeting, he highlighted the great opportunity for Oaxacan companies to improve their commercial, logistical and technological capacity, accessing new markets and supply channels.

Before representatives of industrial and business chambers, entrepreneurs, academics, legislators and members of the public administration, Ruiz Robles specified that investments and strategic alliances will be facilitated for the growth of companies, actions that the Oaxacan Spring promotes so that no one is left out of economic and commercial development.

Meanwhile, the general director of GS1 Mexico Juan Carlos Molina indicated that Fábrica de Negocio is a joint effort to connect manufacturers, businesswomen and MSMEs with buyers from the main wholesale commercial chains and marketplaces in the country. “It is the largest retail incubator in Latin America,” he added.

The director of Associate Development, Alejandro Trejo Rivera, attended; GS1’s Director of Operations and Services, Sergio Zúñiga Bohigas, and the director of the Oaxacan company Fruvethy, Nina Escamilla Calleja.

Among the commercial chains are OXXO, Walmart, La Comer, Neto, Waldos, Soriana, Chedraui, Liverpool, Tienda UNAM, Miniabastos, La Soledad and Piticó.

At the Cultural and Convention Center of Oaxaca (CCCO) on October 29 and 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Fábrica de Negocio will offer workshops on market trends and the opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs, suppliers and the public sector. There is a pavilion to exhibit products from the southern-southeastern states, providing visibility and marketing opportunities for companies.
