Tlaxcala boxers stand out in national tournaments in Baja California and Oaxaca

Boxing teams from Tlaxcala attended national tournaments in Oaxaca and Mexicali, Baja California. In both tournaments they climbed to the podium, in children’s and youth categories, with the representation of clubs from different municipalities.

From the 23rd to the 27th of this month, 16 fighters from the entity attended in the southeast of the country, of whom 14 won medals. This event was endorsed by the Mexican Boxing Federation and more than 18 associations participated.

For state boxing, Juan Olaya from the Magno Silzara Boxing gym stood out with the bronze medal in the 42 kilos for children, while from the Dino’s gym, Kaled Ramírez won the final to win the gold medal, while Emir Tlatelpa won silver.

In the women’s category, Susana Valeria won the silver medal, Jared Curiel from Ita won bronze. From the Nahuales gym, Vanessa Báez Trejo won gold, as did Marino Maravilla Hernández and Juan Castillo Díaz. For his part, Dharien Vasquez Carro won the silver medal and César Castillo Díaz, bronze.

From the Patitos Power gymnasium, boxing school of the masters Andrés Portillo and Lucero Rojas, Alex Iván Pérez García won gold; Abel Saucedo Pérez, silver; while Ángel Iosef Romero Tejeda won silver and Andrés Santos Portillo Rojas, bronze.

The coaches Enrique Delaurens Santacruz, Andrés Portillo, Enedino Tlatelpa, Erika Silva Isidro and Héctor Hugo Grande Cruz traveled to this competition. The state delegation participated in Oaxaca with the support of parents and the mayor of Teolocholco, who provided transportation for five days of the competition.

On the other hand, Tlaxcala was present at the Border War in Mexicali, Baja California, with three fighters and the trainer Armando Santos. Santiago Hernández Magdaleno in the 71 kilogram youth category and Lauro Uriel Fernández Barrera, in the 86 kilogram youth category, won a silver medal. The group from the HS Boxing club of Apizaco traveled on their own means.

Adriana Cervantes Cruz of the Tlaxcala boxing association is in charge of the work of the state selections in their trips outside the entity and in events scheduled within the state.
