The XXII International Festival on the Coast of the Mexican Gulf continues to bring art and culture to the people of Tamaulipas, with a display of local, national and international talent in various emblematic stages of the region.
At the iconic Amalia González Caballero Theater in Castillo Ledón, the flamenco show “Elementos y la fuente” by Puerto Flamenco captivated the public with its mix of passion and rhythm, transporting attendees to the very essence of this vibrant Spanish tradition.
Literature also had its moment in the Pedro Banda Gallery, where the presentation of two books was held: “Fuego y rosas” by Dunia Susana Sierra Dávila and “Pemoles. Letras de la Huasteca” by Carlos Acosta. Each work opened a window to the regional culture, highlighting the richness of the traditions and landscapes of the Huasteca.
Likewise, music filled the air at the Regional Museum with the presentation of “Music to the Heart” by the talented Obed Luna, offering attendees an intimate and emotional experience through his compositions.
Also, at the Marte R. Gómez Library, the renowned writer Antonio Ramos Revillas presented his work “Playa Bagdad” in an event that included a discussion about his literary career. Author with awards such as the UANL Arts Award and the Regio Trophy, Ramos Revillas has been one of the outstanding Mexican writers at an international level.
Meanwhile at the Tamaulipas Cultural Center Convention Center, urban culture was the protagonist in the clinic “Metamorphosis of art and urban culture (Hip hop)”, given by Roosevelth Alejandro de la Fuente Bocanegra, who offered attendees a vision of the transformation of urban art and its impact on new generations.
El Patinadero was the stage for the energy of the Reyno Urbano Collective, led by Roosevelth, and the unique style of MFOX, who offered a display of urban dance that resonated with young people of all ages.
Meanwhile, in Plaza Juárez, local talent shone with performances by Star Dance, the ULSA Choir, the Unión Folklórica Tamaulipeca Folkloric Dance Group, the Life Academy, the Rondalla del Hospital General, closing with the Ellas group with the show; “Songs in Lady Mode.”
At Casa del Arte Victoria, the theater also had an important space with the presentation of “El silencio de Júpiter” by Colectivo Trueque, a work that explores deep themes and connects the public with their own silence and emotions.
With a vast variety of artistic disciplines, the XXII International Festival on the Coast of the Mexican Gulf reaffirms Tamaulipas’ commitment to art and culture, providing its inhabitants with a platform to enjoy and connect with the talent of Mexico and the world.
