Nine vehicles found buried in the landslide on the Puebla-Veracruz highway

Nine vehicles have been discovered buried in the landslide that occurred last Friday on the Veracruz-Puebla 140D highway. The information comes from authorities who report that six trucks and three cars were located beneath the debris.

The removal of debris is an ongoing process due to the significant scale of the landslide. Authorities anticipate that more vehicles may be trapped, which further complicates the situation.

Caminos y Puentes Federales (CAPUFE) is working tirelessly on site with machinery and personnel to clear 150,000 cubic meters of material spread over 150 meters at a height of 12 meters. The landslide occurred last Friday night – October 25 – on Highway 150D near El Mirador, specifically at kilometer 231 in the Orizaba-Puebla section.
