Starting this month, new flights to the Tulum airport will begin, thereby increasing the influx of passengers, with at least six frequencies, both national and international.

Tayde Mandujano Manzano, commercial and services manager of the Tulum Airport, explained that they will start this November 9 with a new flight, from Toronto and Calgary, with the Westjet airline, which will be operating to attract more visitors from Canada, thus opening the winter season, in which they expect good numbers.

This international flight is added to the routes that are already operating such as Delta, United, American, JetBlue, AirCanada, and Copa Airlines that connect mainly with routes from the United States, the country of the maple leaf and Panama.

In December, the largest number of flights will arrive, which is when most tourists arrive on vacation, and on the 2nd of that month, Sunwing will land from Montreal, and on the 12th, it will be landed

Discover Airlines, from Frankfurt, one of the most anticipated flights that connects with the old continent.

On December 19, the airline Air Transat will start operations from Montreal and Quebec, and to close will be Avianca, launching a route from Bogotá, starting on December 10.

Regarding domestic routes, Volaris will be adding one more from Guadalajara, starting on December 5, thus adding more routes, since AeroMexico, VivaAerobus and Mexicana currently operate.

“With this, it will be possible to reach 1.4 million passengers, and so far there are already more than 900 thousand who have traveled through, thus breaking the estimate that was had for the first year of operation, which was to reach 700 thousand,” he explained.

Although the Felipe Carrillo Puerto airport, which is the fourth in the state, is already showing a strong muscle, they are also considering opening a hotel for the last month of the year, thereby offering a better experience to travelers.
