Three people were killed, including two police officers from the Puebla municipality of Atlixco, in an armed attack on a man who was in a hospital.

The events occurred early today inside and outside the Gonzalo Rio Arronte Medical Complex Hospital in the Magical Town of Atlixco.

According to police reports, it all began when a man identified as Juan Carlos “N” entered the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Later, armed men entered the hospital to finish him off and after managing to kill him, they began to flee, but were intercepted by elements of the Municipal Police of Atlixco.

During the armed confrontation, the two agents (a woman and a man) were killed by the hitmen, who fled the scene without being arrested.

A strong police mobilization was recorded at the site and the closure of the road near the hospital where the murders occurred.

The state of Puebla has been suffering from a spiral of violence related to the operation of organized crime groups.

Clashes are becoming more frequent, as are the appearance of people murdered in public places with the seal of drug trafficking or burned inside vehicles.

Puebla was even placed in the group of 11 states in the country where homicidal violence worsened in the last six years.

According to the organization México Evalúa, the entity registered a rate of 11 homicides per 100 thousand inhabitants during the Obrador administration.

The organization specialized in monitoring government operations, warned that there are 18 entities where violence is worsening, highlighting that Chiapas, Oaxaca, Puebla and Sinaloa are about to go from a regular situation to a very serious one.
