The Ixtapa Zihuatanejo tourist complex in Guerrero will increase the number of foreign visitors through the arrival of two charter flights from Canada and the United States.
Pedro Castelán, executive director of the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Convention and Visitors Bureau, reported that a direct flight is already being received from Vancouver, Canada; and another from San Francisco, California.
Currently, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo already receives 12 cities with direct flights from the United States and Canada, which allowed 654 thousand passengers to arrive at that tourist destination in 2023.
With the two announced flights, the total number of foreign tourists arriving at that destination is expected to reach 665,000 throughout 2024.
