Nadia Zenteno, a young scientist from Chihuahua, will launch an experiment tomorrow that could revolutionize the aeronautical industry worldwide. The experiment will take place at the Kennedy Space Center of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
The 28-year-old, who is originally from Ciudad Juárez, will launch an alloy of materials that adapt to the conditions of space, which will be tested for six months in the MISSE experimentation module, part of the International Space Station.
If the test is passed, the material will be used for the construction of satellites and infrastructure in space in the future, which means a milestone for the scientific community of Mexico and a source of pride for the state of Chihuahua.
Zenteno is one of the creators of this innovative material along with her MatXSpace team; she has had the support of the governor of Chihuahua, Maru Campos, to attend the launch.
The research in which Nadia Zenteno participated was already presented at an aerospace forum held in the city of Milan, Italy, where Zenteno traveled with the help of the state government. “Governor Maru Campos has given all her support to Zenteno, for representing Mexico at an international level in the field of aeronautics,” says the Government of Chihuahua.
Maru Campos, governor of Chihuahua, said that Nadia Zenteno is a pride for the state; she expressed her support and congratulated her, “the success will not only be for her, but for all the young people of Chihuahua,” she said.
