Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena Reveals 800 Million Peso Deficit in Yucatán

Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena has disclosed a significant deficit inherited from the previous administration, amounting to over 800 million pesos. During his second morning press conference, he announced his State Development Plan, which focuses on six key pillars: honest government, social welfare, economic prosperity, infrastructure with territorial development, justice with citizen security, and education, accompanied by culture and sports.

To implement this plan, the governor outlined the formation of six sectoral commissions and one special commission for the Mayan people, along with seven territorial commissions to maintain close contact with the public through consultations and surveys in the 106 municipalities.

Díaz Mena highlighted the financial challenges left by the previous administration, including payment commitments to various agencies. To address this, he announced a reorganization of expenses within the secretariats.

At the end of his media appearance, the governor took the time to listen to the requests of several people who approached him at the Government Palace.
