The salary for formal employment in Querétaro has increased 95.9% in the last decade in the entity, going from 323 pesos per day to 629 pesos until September 2024, according to data from the IMSS.
According to the history recorded by the IMSS, in Querétaro in September 2014 an average salary of 323.02 pesos was reported, and since then there have been constant increases.

In January 2018 the salary exceeded 402.99 pesos, in January 2022 it exceeded 505.78 pesos, and in January 2024 it reached 615.59 pesos, on average per day.
Despite the pandemic, salaries in the state continued to grow, as in January 2020 they were 444 pesos and in January 2021 they were 471 pesos.
Regarding salary by sex, men in September 2014 received 343.67 pesos per day, and in September 2024 they have an average salary of 670.96 pesos.
Regarding women, in September 2014 the salary was 286.35 pesos and in September 2024 it was 567.52 pesos per day.
When comparing some age ranges, in 2024 workers between 20 and 24 years old have a salary of 399.76 pesos; those between 35 and 39 years old have a salary of 665.61 pesos. And those between 50 and 54 years old earn 572.91 pesos.
And the highest paid sectors in the state are the electrical industry and the collection and supply of drinking water with 1,320.69 pesos on average per day, followed by transportation and communications with 806.11 pesos per day on average; and in third place social and community services with an average of 804.30 pesos.
While, at the national level, the average daily salary was 293.42 pesos per day in September 2014, and in September 2024 it reached 581.59 pesos on average.
It should be noted that this week the IMSS highlighted that the average salary for formal jobs in Mexico had an increase of 9.2% in the annual comparison.
