The Secretary of Tourism in Sinaloa, Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, highlighted the acceptance that Mazatlán has had among the tourists who have visited it.

The above, in reference to the Summer Study carried out by the Tres Islas de Mazatlán Hotel Association applied during that vacation period.

The Secretary of Tourism highlights the good acceptance that Mazatlán has had among tourists.

He added that the Tres Islas de Mazatlán Hotel Association presented the 13th Summer Study 2024, in a meeting in which the Municipal President, Estrella Palacios Domínguez; the president of the association, José Ramón Manguart, as well as personalities from the tourism and economic sector of the port, who listened to the corresponding results, were also present.

The results, said Velarde Cárdenas, demonstrate the pleasure with which tourists enjoyed the great attractions that are had during the summer vacation period, which was very good in numbers and in stay.

These are totally positive results considering that visitors reacted favorably to the survey, which highlights the liking for the various tourist attractions that Mazatlán has, such as gastronomy, beaches, the Grand Aquarium, the Malecón, among others, he added.

The state official specified that the surveys have been carried out since 2011 with very good judgment and the illustrations that were shown indicate that things are being done well in the national and international context, thanks to the promotion that is carried out continuously, according to the instructions of Governor Rubén Rocha Moya.

He pointed out that the 13 years that they have been carrying out this study, allow them to obtain information and areas of opportunity for the entire tourism sector of Mazatlán.

In this case, a survey was applied with 500 surveys on the days referred to, confirming that the main states with origins of tourists were Chihuahua, with 16 percent; Coahuila, 14; CDMX, 11; Nuevo León, 9; and Durango, Guanajuato and Sonora, 7 percent, among other states.

The state official added that tourists who visited Mazatlán were able to see the growth and development of the Pearl of the Pacific.
