The 3 Islas Hotels Association, in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism of Sinaloa, is organizing a promotional caravan for Mazatlán in nine cities across the country. The caravan will take place from November 24 to December 4, aiming to update travel agents on the latest news about the destination, according to José Ramón Manguart Sánchez.
“A commercial partner is also joining to strengthen these topics of updating and training of the destination with the purpose of having a greater impact in the following seasons,” added Manguart, president of the Association representing around 3,000 lodging rooms.
The caravan will visit Durango, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Pachuca, Puebla, Toluca, and Morelia to boost sales of the destination.
Manguart expressed hope for an increase in hotel occupancy this weekend. “We are finishing a work agenda with SECTUR Sinaloa to boost sales of the destination, especially to update travel agents on the latest news, with the goal of gradually recovering occupancy levels,” he said.
“It is a heavy, strong work agenda, but we are concentrating our efforts on seizing opportunities. We are grateful to the Ministry of Tourism for supporting us and making it their own so that Mazatlán continues its streak of several years in terms of hotel occupancy, investment, and jobs, which have allowed the destination’s economy to be dynamic and important, generating stability for existing investments and those being made over time,” Manguart concluded.
