The Mexican currency registers a gain of 0.79% compared to the reference price on Wednesday, when it weakened to 20.80 units, a level not seen in two years, after Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election.
According to the data, although general inflation in Mexico accelerated in October above expectations, the underlying index fell for the twenty-first consecutive month and reached its best level since November 2020.
For now, investors’ attention is focused on the release later in the day of the US Federal Reserve’s monetary policy decision.
