Uno de los asesinados en bar "Los Cantaritos", es ligado al Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación

The ten people killed in the massacre on Saturday night at the bar “Los Cantaritos” in Querétaro have been identified. Their names and photos of their faces are circulating on social media, seven are men and three are women.

They are Rodrigo García, Giovanni Arellano, Diego Tapia, Carlos Gómez, Jesús Alberto Arteaga, Arturo Velazco, Fátima Ramos, Berenice López, Angie Ascencio and Fernando González Núñez.

One of them is linked to the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG). This is “Fernando González Núñez”, who, according to information on social media, is identified by the alias “La Flaca”, an alleged member of that criminal organization.

There are photographs that attribute him with a vest with the initials CJNG and posing with firearms, vehicles and airplanes.

He is also attributed with activities of hydrocarbon theft.

Among the images circulating, there is even a post with which he allegedly recruited people: “Who wants to come to work in San Juan del Río? Who knows how to use weapons and is not afraid. Weekly payment.”

In her press conference, the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, said that the armed subjects who perpetrated the attack “were after a person.”

“There is one person arrested and they were after a person,” she declared.

Sheinbaum Pardo assured that since what happened, the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, was in contact with the governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González.

In a video message, released yesterday, the state leader said that “a group of armed people came to attack a group of people.”

The municipal president of Querétaro, Felipe Fernando Macías Olvera, referred to the event as “the attack directed at criminals.”

News reports indicate that Fernando González Núñez had already been arrested in the state of Querétaro for carrying a firearm and that the attack against him is a response to the dispute between the Jalisco Nueva Generación and Santa Rosa de Lima cartels, from Guanajuato, over the fight to control the territory.

The president assured that the state government has the full support of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection and the Armed Forces.

Sheinbaum Pardo said that by tomorrow her government will give more information about this event.
