Where and when will the 2024 Enchilada and Cecina Fair be held
From Friday, November 15 to Sunday, November 17, the 2024 Enchilada and Cecina Fair will be held in the Puebla municipality of Huachinango. You cannot miss the presence and seasoning of traditional cooks and artisans from the region.
The enchiladas in this destination differ in terms of the size of their tortillas, which are smaller and filled with shredded beef and served in a deep plate, covered with succulent green sauce and accompanied with grated cheese in a substantial way.
Prices to enjoy Huasteca enchiladas range from 25 pesos alone and with cecina from 50 pesos, which will depend on whether you add complements such as hard-boiled egg, chicken feet or pickled pork feet.
During this seventh edition, you will not only be able to try these delicacies accompanied by cecina, but it is an event where there will be cultural presentations for the whole family.
You will be able to witness traditional dances and purchase different products to decorate your home at the artisanal products expo-sale, whose objective is to provide support to artisans to make their products known.
You also cannot miss the “La Enchilada Veloz” contest, where you can demonstrate your ability to eat enchiladas at full speed and compete for a place on the podium either in the children’s category (children from 6 to 12 years old) or the free category, which includes men and women from 12 years old.
