Violence in Sinaloa: Two men killed and a woman injured in separate incidents in Mazatlán

Violence returned to the city of Mazatlán, after two men were killed by gunshots in separate incidents, while a woman was seriously injured after being shot by unknown assailants in the Urbi Villas del Real neighborhood.

Meanwhile, in the Santa Teresa del Puerto neighborhood, a teenager named Valtre Yair “N”, 16 years old, was deprived of his liberty by armed civilians who intercepted him while he was riding his motorcycle.

The new acts of violence occurred just two days after the municipal police officer, Jesús Benito “N”, 44 years old, was the victim of an attack in the San Marcos neighborhood when he got out of his truck. He died from his injuries while receiving first aid.

Two men killed in Mazatlán

In the 20 de Noviembre neighborhood of the port, a man who was walking in the street was shot by unknown assailants, so paramedics from the Veteran Fire Department gave him help and took him to a hospital.

The seriously injured person was admitted to the ISSTE hospital, where shortly after he was declared dead due to the severe injuries caused by the bullet impacts.

In a second attack recorded on Dos de Abril Street, in the Esperanza neighborhood, behind the Municipal Cemetery, a man was shot dead by unknown assailants who managed to flee the scene.

On Armadura de Bronce Street, in the Urbi Villas del Real neighborhood, armed men shot at a woman who has not yet been identified, who was taken to a hospital in the port with three bullet wounds, one of them in the head.
