Violent day in Tabasco leaves an Oxxo burned and two members of the prosecutor’s office injured

The state of Tabasco suffered this Thursday a fire that consumed a convenience store, an armed attack against two elements of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) and the placement of tire-puncture marks on a bridge in Villahermosa, the capital.

A store of the Oxxo chain located in the Indeco neighborhood, in Villarhemosa, in the capital of Tabasco, was consumed by a fire, with no injuries or deaths reported.

According to a social media post, local Civil Protection personnel managed to extinguish the fire around 4:00 p.m. yesterday.

The store was left without windows, with the logo practically unidentifiable and with shelves covered in gray dust inside.

According to local media reports, the fire would have been caused by subjects who have not been identified, who moments before would have robbed the establishment.

In separate incidents, but simultaneously and in the same state, two members of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) were attacked with bullets on a stretch of the highway that goes from Villahermosa to Cárdenas; there were no deaths, but the organization said in a statement that the affected received medical attention.

Additionally, the placement of a tire-punching device on the La Pigua bridge, located in Villahermosa, was reported.

Tabasco media indicated that the tire-punching devices were placed in the direction of the Indeco neighborhood, where the fire occurred.
