Migrants of Indian origin found in Sinaloa arrived by boat

The group of 14 migrants of Indian origin found by military personnel on November 14 in Costa Rica, arrived by boat to Sinaloa, reported the Secretary of Public Security, Gerardo Mérida Sánchez.

The state official indicated that these people do not have the legal documents for their stay in Sinaloa.

“They arrive by boat, they appear here in Culiacán and well, the Attorney General’s Office and Immigration take charge. They have to see what their situation is. They are definitely considered undocumented people right now,” he indicated.

It should be noted that the Secretary of Public Security reported yesterday Friday, November 15, that they are looking for a translator to be able to maintain communication with these migrants.

The discovery

Following a report received through the 911 emergency number, in which a suspicious vehicle was reported in the area, military personnel on the Culiacán-Mazatlán highway, near the Costa Rica toll booth in Culiacán, found a group of 14 people of Indian origin, including several minors, in a red Suburban truck.
