During the first half of the current year, 909.3 million dollars of new capital were raised in relation to Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), according to figures from the Ministry of Economy.
This amount meant the worst result for the same period of comparison; this decrease is largely explained by a significant drop coming from the three main countries from which the capital comes.
The top 3 countries that make the most foreign direct investment in Mexico are:
United States
Canada
Germany
During the first half of 2024, US investments of this type fell 52 percent.
For their part, those from Canada and Germany registered year-on-year drops of 71 and 53% respectively.
The top 10 countries that bring the most FDI to Mexico are completed by Brazil, Chile, China, Luxembourg, Venezuela, Argentina and Switzerland.
