The State Tourism Secretariat (Sectur Oaxaca) reported that the port of Santa Cruz Huatulco has received 44,354 passengers and 18,955 crew members from 24 cruise ships, with an average stay of 7:56 hours, which has generated an estimated economic impact of 49 million 674 thousand 178 pesos.
As part of the 2024 cruise season, the Seabourn Quest ship arrived on Thursday from Puerto Madero, Chiapas, with a total of 404 passengers and 346 crew members, who were on land for a period of 10 hours, generating an estimated economic impact of 581 thousand 451 pesos for the benefit of service providers and families of that tourist center.
In addition, this Friday the Coral Princess cruise ship arrived from Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco with a total of 2,151 passengers and 891 crew members. It stayed there for approximately 9:45 hours, generating an estimated economic impact of 2,803,178 pesos.
The Port of Santa Cruz has a 450-meter-long Cruise Ship Dock with two docking bays to enable the reception of two vessels simultaneously.
