Mazatlán is set to unveil its latest tourist attraction, “La Farolesa Mazatlán,” located on Cerro del Crestón. The project will officially open to the public on Saturday, December 14, as confirmed by Mariel Aquileo Ancona Infanzón, general director of the National Port System Administration (Asipona).
Ancona Infanzón reported that the project has received all necessary permits and certifications from the companies responsible for its construction. He emphasized that “La Farolesa” will significantly boost the local economy and tourism sector, positioning Mazatlán as an even more attractive destination within the Pearl of the Pacific.
While specific details about the inauguration time and special guests have not been disclosed, Ancona Infanzón mentioned that the event’s organization is being handled by businessman Amado Guzmán, the main promoter of this ambitious project. “My obligation was to comply with the law, to have it certified and to show people, because in the end the permit as director was me. The one who will make the invitations will be Mr. Amado, ensuring everything is within the norm,” he said.
A New Icon for Mazatlán
“La Farolesa” is expected to not only enhance the city’s tourist offerings but also become an iconic attraction for both locals and visitors. It promises an innovative experience in one of Mazatlán’s most recognized spots.
