A video of a brave boy who thwarted a kidnapping attempt and managed to free his mother in the city of Mazatlán was spread on social media. These images occur in the context of the wave of violence in Sinaloa, which began in mid-September.

The data that appears in the video recording reveals that the events occurred on November 25, at 9:47 p.m.; the local press adds that the kidnapping occurred on Paseo del Palmar Boulevard, near the Paraíso Marina subdivision.
A security camera captured the moment in which two cars intercepted another vehicle. Armed subjects got out of the vehicles to take a man and a woman.
A child, presumably the son of the victims, approached the criminals and began to shout for his parents to be released. In the end, she managed to get the kidnappers to release her mother, but her father was kidnapped.
So far, state authorities have not mentioned anything about the events of last Monday. On the other hand, the recording has caused outrage among the population due to the security crisis in Sinaloa and the impunity with which criminal groups operate.
