In response to the violent events recorded during the morning of Thursday, November 28, the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS) announced that the classes scheduled for today will be held virtually in the central regional unit that includes Culiacán and Navolato.
Through an official statement, the UAS emphasized that the security of its university community is a priority, which is why this protection protocol is activated since it is not guaranteed at this time.
The decision responds to the violent events recorded in various parts of the city, which have generated concern and affected mobility in the area. The measure seeks to guarantee the integrity of thousands of students and collaborators who make up the university community.
The rector of the UAS, Jesús Madueña Molina, reported that the strategy to activate online classes when this type of violence occurs is well structured, this decision is communicated through the student groups and instructions for virtual classes are sent
He indicated that the communication was sent in a timely manner, since the morning entry time is at 8:00 a.m., so it was possible to notify in time so that the young people would not leave their homes due to the events reported in different parts of the city of Culiacán.
