A total of 48 citizen observers will be in charge of surveillance in the Paisano Operation, which formally began on November 28 in Tamaulipas.
The representative of the National Institute of Migration (INM), Segismundo Doguín Martínez, announced that there is coordination to assist thousands of compatriots until January 12, when this operation ends.

“With 48 civil society observers in 19 service modules distributed in the municipalities of Nuevo Laredo, Miguel Alemán, Reynosa Matamoros, Ciudad Victoria who will guide our compatriots and tourists about their rights and obligations,” he declared in the speech he gave today at the flag-off event held in Nuevo Laredo.

For this type of mobilization, some countrymen choose to join caravans to coordinate and receive support from the authorities on the way to entities such as Querétaro.
At the event, which was attended by the governor of Tamaulipas, Américo Villarreal Anaya and the mayor of Nuevo Laredo, Carmen Lilia Canturosas, he explained that during last year’s operation 150 thousand services were provided in Tamaulipas.
“A total of 150 thousand services were provided by these observers, hoping to surpass this figure this year; it is important to mention that the program aims to guarantee the entry, transit and exit of Mexicans residing abroad,” he reported.

“Through 911 they are articulated for the comprehensive attention to the service of the compatriots who travel through the state… all 911 personnel were trained, all operators as supervisors,” he announced.
“In order to provide immediate attention and to be able to channel this emergency or any service, any information we have, we are multiplying ourselves to be able to provide this attention through the emergency system,” he added.
He thanked the Government of Tamaulipas as well as the municipal and state tourism authorities.
“The head of the National Migration Institute in Tamaulipas will be on the lookout to be able to attend to our compatriots, we are at your service,” concluded the official who boasted that 48 observers will be on the lookout for the Paisano operation.
