Querétaro dresses up to receive the most important fashion event at a national level: Raíces del Fashion Days 2024, for this occasion Círculos de Diario de Querétaro spoke exclusively with Blanca Salinas, founder of the brand.
Blanca Salinas highlighted that for this edition there is the participation of high fashion designers committed to tradition and respect for indigenous communities and for the first time it will be presented in the state from December 5 to 7, having as stages three of the most representative places of Querétaro culture and history such as the Center of the Arts, the Querétaro Art Museum and the Plaza Gran CUE in the municipality of Corregidora.
The businesswoman mentioned that this event seeks to rescue the roots of the artisans from towns and communities of the Republic, where in addition to presenting their creations with the help of high-end designers, they will have as one of the activities to intervene a Lele doll, who represents the figure created by the hands of artisans of the Otomí culture that has been an ambassador in Mexico and other parts of the world and once the event is over, an exhibition will be held in cities such as Madrid and New York, among others.
Blanca Salinas, said that the joint work of designers with the artisan communities has achieved a positive conjunction that is not only aesthetic, but also sustainable. “Fashion is a phenomenon that manages to move masses and we find in it a vehicle to creatively transmit a message,” she mentioned during her visit to Querétaro to promote the catwalk that will have three days giving the best of fashion in the state.
She mentioned that this meeting yearns for the Mexican fashion industry, it is an event with a cause that supports a charity and promotes Querétaro as a tourist destination by making the world aware of the cultural, historical and traditional heritage it has.
“This is a great dream because it unites my two great passions since I was very young I was involved in philanthropic events, with a cause, and I tried a lot to carry a social and personal responsibility in all the projects I did in my life; in addition, I had this other concern which is fashion, for me, bringing them together is a dream come true and thus being able to make people see fashion not as something superficial and banal, but really as a great industry, and if we add a social responsibility to it, I believe that we can raise people’s awareness.”
Blanca said that this event will feature the best of fashion in addition to the presence of internationally renowned models, so Raíces del Fashion Days 2024 will be a great event during the three days it will take place, with renowned professionals in the world of fashion such as designer Ágata Ruiz de la Prada.
