The Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) has analyzed several e-commerce platforms to determine which ones fulfill their promises, especially during high-demand seasons like Christmas and New Year. The analysis focused on five key points: delivery times, shipping and delivery quality, tracking information, product description, and possible non-compliance with product delivery.
Profeco conducted the analysis by purchasing various products online, including books, clothing, perfumes, baby products, pet electronics, and beauty products. The platforms were rated in four areas: delivery time, delivery shipping quality, information and tracking provided, and product description.
Platforms That Met Expectations
– Amazon
– Liverpool
– Soriana
These platforms were found to have everything in order, meeting all the criteria set by Profeco.
Platforms That Fell Short
– Mercado Libre: Failed to comply with product descriptions.
– Sanborn’s: Did not meet delivery times or delivery shipping quality.
– Shein: Did not comply with product descriptions.
– Temu: Failed in both delivery shipping quality and product descriptions.
– Walmart: Did not comply in any of the areas analyzed.
Profeco’s findings highlight the importance of choosing reliable e-commerce platforms, especially during peak shopping seasons.
