FGE Yucatán Investigates Disappearance of Minor in Mérida

A 17-year-old girl, Yoselin G.P.L., was found in poor condition after being reported missing in Mérida. Her parents revealed the news on social media.

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) confirmed their awareness of Yoselin’s disappearance and subsequent location. She had boarded a platform taxi, though it was not specified whether it was Uber or DiDi.

The FGE announced that the Specialized Unit for the Search for Missing and Unlocated Persons (UBP), in coordination with the State Investigation Police (PEI) of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), located Yoselin after her parents reported her disappearance on Facebook.

Hours later, Yoselin’s parents confirmed through their social media accounts that she was back with them, without providing further details. Her mother, Gabi Loeza, shared that Yoselin was found in poor condition, but authorities are now handling the investigation.

“I thank all the people who helped me share what happened to my daughter… Thank God she has already appeared, not in very good condition, but she has now appeared, and the authorities are taking charge of the matter… Thank you very much to everyone,” Gabi Loeza shared.
