Gas companies in Oaxaca admitted yesterday that there are delays in the supply chain and difficulties in the logistics of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), which complicates the supply to customers.
For more than a month, users of liquefied petroleum gas have been warning about the shortage in the areas of Miahuatlán, Ejutla de Crespo and Sierra Sur, given that orders were taking up to 20 days to be filled.
However, in the metropolitan area of the state capital the impact was not so severe; according to some users, the order could take only one or two days to be filled given the proximity of the supply plant.
On the subject of the lack of supply, one of the companies with the greatest impact on the market (Gas de Oaxaca), stated that “currently there are delays in the LP gas supply chain, due to circumstances beyond our control.”
However, they reiterated their commitment to offering a quality and punctual service.
Through a letter they indicated that, “we communicate that due to the lack of supply and difficulties in logistics with our main supplier Pemex who is not delivering product, generating a shortage of LP gas.”
And for which this inconvenience could cause delays in the delivery of gas orders.
“We understand that this situation can cause inconvenience and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding,” the letter indicates.
The gas company recommended that customers, as far as possible, schedule orders in advance, not make panic purchases so that they can be served in the best way.
“Our team continues to work hard to ensure that the supply arrives on time, we are looking for alternatives to reestablish the delivery service, stay calm,” the gas company urges.
It even mentioned that “you can be sure that your LP gas will be supplied as soon as the supply is normalized.”

The price of LP gas cylinders of different sizes is as follows: 10 kg cylinder, 194.50, 20 kg cylinder, 389.00, 30 kg cylinder, 583.50 and 45 kg cylinder: 875.25.
