The logistics and parcel company DHL Express Mexico considered that the first months of next year will be complex due to the environment generated by the new US administration of Donald Trump.
“January and February are going to be complex, one day you will think that the world has fallen and the next day we will lift you up and that is how we will be,” said Antonio Arranz, general director of the company, in a press conference.
The director commented that even this complicated panorama can extend to the first half of the year, because at some point it will be difficult, but then it will calm down.
According to the situation in the United States, President Donald Trump will take office on January 20, 2025, with which changes in his economic and migration policies are foreseen.
The elected official has announced that one of his potential plans is to impose a 25 percent tariff on goods coming from Mexico, if he does not stop the movement of migrants.
Antonio Arranz, general manager of DHL Express, commented that despite this complex panorama, they foresee that Mexico will move forward and will have a positive economic outlook.
Regarding the relationship with the United States, the manager considered that there will be no way that they do not come to an agreement, because they will even integrate naturally.
The situation with the neighboring country to the north will be difficult with Mexico, but they will reach an agreement, said Arranz.
On the other hand, Arranz reported that DHL Express’ plan is to grow 50 percent in the period from 2025 to 2030, since there is a lot of business potential.
He indicated that in 2024 they made an investment of 1,280 million pesos in the purchase of 600 vehicles, including vans and trucks for the movement of goods.
