A confrontation between street vendors ended with one person injured by a gunshot, prompting rapid mobilization of local authorities.
The incident took place at the intersection of 5 de Mayo and 8 Poniente streets, in the historic center, an area frequented by both locals and tourists.
According to the first reports from the Municipal Police, the altercation arose for reasons that are still unclear, quickly escalating into a violent act that left one of those involved injured.
Civil Protection elements went to the scene to provide first aid to the victim, who was rushed to a nearby hospital. So far, no details have been provided about his health status.
For its part, the municipal police deployed an operation in the area to control the situation and ensure the safety of citizens. Fortunately, no more people were reported injured during the altercation.
