Hundreds of cyclists of different ages and cities from all over the country and abroad participated in the 14th edition of the Mazatlán 2024 Cycle Tour.
Unlike previous editions, the start and finish changed location, leaving behind the Convention Center, to move to the old Hotel Faro Mazatlán, located on Avenida Camarón Sábalo.
From very early, dozens of cycling teams were taking their places to accommodate themselves in the human caravan that would set off on the adventure on wheels on the 70 and 140 kilometer routes.
Carlos Steck, organizer of this ride, reported that the response was greater than a thousand participants, around 1,200 cyclists from all states of the Mexican Republic and abroad, highlighting the United States and Canada.
The traditional flag-off of the multitudinous group was attended by the Municipal President of Mazatlán, Estrella Palacios Domínguez, who carried out the departure of the adventurers.
Also present at the starting podium were Carlos Steck, Fabiola Verde Rosas, director of the Mazatlán Municipal Sports Institute, and Alejandro Higuera Osuna, undersecretary of the Meetings Industry of the Sinaloa Tourism Secretariat.
For the 70-kilometer route, the cycling contingent rode through Zona Dorada, Avenida del Mar to the Monumento al Pescador, from where they will return to go to the Habal-La Noria junction, and then seek to reach the finish line at the starting point.
The 140-kilometer stage went through Avenida del Mar, Paseo Claussen, Paseo Olas Altas, Avenida Miguel Alemán, Emilio Barragán, Gabriela Leyva until taking the Mexico 15 Highway that took them to the community in La Urraca, then to El Recodo, San Marcos, El Habal and La Noria to arrive at the Habal-Cerritos junction to the finish line at the Hotel El Faro.
